This site is being thrown together the night before a conference. I needed to have
something on my website (which has been unloved for a bit) as I have all these business cards that direct people to this site.
I’m a graduate student and an artist. I’m at a crossroads
with my life and career. I have been a professional dominatrix for a good number of years.
I wrote a book about the reality of professional BDSM (forthcoming). I have been working as a stripper
in New England while trying to finish my thesis.
My thesis is on Gender Variant
Language, neologisms like grrrl, boi, squea, ze, cisgender, pomogender, hir, homonormative, etc. A neologism
is a new word. To the best of my knowledge I am the leading authority on gender variant language, including
gender-neutral pronouns. If you don’t know what these terms mean, don’t panic.
A lot of people are confused about them. They are fluctuating terms that depict gender as a spectrum,
not a binary. I will be finishing my thesis and graduating with an MA in sociology spring 2012.
At this point I am not sure if I am going to go on for a PhD or if I am going to tour the college lecture
circuit. I’m leaning towards taking a year to tour, perform, lecture, teach, and have a little fun.
I very much want to continue with my education but my life circumstances might postpone my-oh so coveted status as
The Evil Dr Widow. Muah-ha-ha!
Additionally I perform stand up comedy and one-woman shows.
If there are no videos here when you are, check back soon. My one-woman show If Lucy had a Whip:
Tales of and American Dominatrix is a first person account of the mix ups, wacky adventures, and personal crisis that I first
tangled with as a noobie dominatrix. The 63 minute show can be seen in 3-7 minute clips on youtube, bliptv,
and on my wordpress blog, A Funny Dominatrix
